IVECCS 2024 - International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium

The IVECCS Program Committee is seeking proposals for presentation topics and ideas for IVECCS 2024 in St. Louis, MO from September 7-11, 2024.The theme for IVECCS 2024 is "Laboratory Diagnostics in the ER and ICU". The IVECCS program will continue to cover a wide variety of topics and levels to satisfy the needs of our target audience which include veterinary and technician specialists, advanced clinicians and technicians, general practitioners, veterinary and technician students, practice leaders, and support staff. Topics range from Emergency and Critical Care, Pain Management, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, Professional Wellness, Ethics, Practice Management and Leadership. Interested speakers are invited to submit their proposed topics and course descriptions for lecture, panel, workshop, and lab sessions. Preference will be given to speakers who are active VECCS members.

 

Program Committee Selection Process

The Program Committee will review submitted and complete proposals. Incomplete proposals will not be considered. The Program Committee consists of experts in the industry who review and select sessions for their respective programs. The overall goal of each program is to provide IVECCS attendees with the most up-to-date information in Emergency and Critical Care, and other related specialties. ***Please note:  If your topics are not selected for IVECCS 2024, your proposal will be archived and considered for future IVECCS and other non-IVECCS programs. ***

 

Submission Guidelines for Proposals

Please review the following information before proceeding to the next steps on the proposal site to complete your submission. Submissions will be reviewed by the IVECCS Program Committee, and you may be contacted to provide additional information for your submission to be considered. A timely response is required, otherwise the committee will proceed with other submissions.

Step 1: Contact Information

Please provide the best contact information for your proposal. This should be the person submitting the proposal.

 

Step 2: Speaker Information

If you are the contact for the proposal and the speaker, you may copy over your information from the previous page, by clicking on the “Copy Contact Data” button. If the contact information is found within the system, it will ask that you confirm the email address matches the speaker information entered. Please make sure to include complete information each time you submit a new proposal. To add an additional speaker, click on “add additional speaker” below the primary speaker’s information. Once you have added all speakers, click on “continue” to enter session information.

*The VECCS office strongly recommends entering your email on the right side of this page to receive a link to pick up where you left off on your proposal submission later. This will allow you to work on the proposal over time without losing your information. Please save this email to make any changes by September 30th.

 

Step 3: Presentation Details

Please complete all required fields in as much detail as possible. For all proposals, you will be required to submit a session title, course description, level, area(s) of focus, and session length. Please find descriptions of the presentation levels on the next page. For wet lab and workshop sessions, detailed information regarding supplies must be submitted. Wet labs are any sessions that require the use of cadavers or live animals. Workshops are any limited enrollment sessions that DO NOT use cadavers or live animals but may include models. We appreciate and encourage instructors to provide sources for models and equipment that they plan to use. Due to the extensive planning that goes towards setting up wet labs and workshop sessions, the complete list of supplies required by the speaker(s) is required by the proposal submission deadline. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
